Wikipedia: Northern Shaolin Long Fist
Shaolin Chuan is an external style that usually begins as an external style and after a few years, progresses to a more internal orientation. The forms within the Shaolin Long Fist style emphasize fully extended kicks and striking techniques, and by its appearance would be considered a long range fighting system. After further study, a Long Fist practitioner will find that its forms contain Chinese Chin Na techniques, as well as Shuai Chiao throws and takedowns. Shao Lin uses large extended, circular movements to improve overall body mobility in the muscles, tendons, and joints.
