08 in SF

Chin’s Martial Arts Academy (CMAA) were among the 600 Tai Chi performers with Master Shu Dong Li’s Tai Chi Kung Fu Academy (TCKF) at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch Relay event on 4/9/2008 at Justin Herman Park in San Francisco, CA. Several members of our CMAA kung fu family performed Tai Chi Chuan (Yang 24 form and/or Chen Style) demonstrations for this historic event. Special thanks to Master Li for his gracious invitation. CMAA is honored to have participated with the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch Relay ceremonies.

ArcSight, Inc. (www.arcsight.com) was the corporate sponsor for our Tai Chi performances as coordinated by the Northern California Chinese Culture Athletic Federation (www.nccaf.org) and Li’s Wushu Academy (www.taichikungfu.org). Master Shu Dong Li successfully coordinated the largest Tai Chi performances in the history of the SF Bay area for this historic international event. Our main goal was to celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay by performing Tai Chi and to strengthen our relationships between the community and all of the different groups, schools, and Masters. We believe that we can create a harmonious and peaceful Tai Chi spirit by sharing our experience of Tai Chi philosophy with everyone’s heart and support for this Chinese cultural art.
