Coach Pak Fong

Sihing Pak Fong Pak Fong has over 25 years of martial arts experience and he earned the rank of Black Belt in Aikido. His martial arts training have encompassed Karate, Judo (when he lived in Japan), Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation, Aikido and Kung Fu. Pak began his Swai Jiao KF training with Sifu Chin at the Buddha Gate Monastery several years ago and he is currently preparing for his Black Belt level test in Swai Jiao.

Coach Tom Parrish

Coach Tom Parrish Tom Parrish has over 18 years of martial arts experience and he earned the rank of Black Sash level in Eagle Claw Kung Fu. His martial arts training have encompassed Judo, Karate, Jiujitsu, Eagle Claw Kung Fu, Contemporary Wushu, Capoeira, and Swai Jiao. Tom started his Swai Jiao KF training with Sifu Chin at the Buddha Gate Monastery and he is currently preparing for his Black Belt level test in Swai Jiao.

Assistant Coach Rosalyn Boles Rosalyn started her formal Swai Jiao KF training with Sifu Chin at the Buddha Gate Monastery and she is currently preparing for her Red Belt level test in Swai Jiao.

Assistant Coach David Yee, Esq.

Assistant Coach David Yee, Esq. David Yee is one of the CMAA Instructors at the Contra Costa Chinese School - Diablo Valley College in Concord, CA. David earned Gold Medals at both the August 2007 - 2nd International Kung Fu Wushu Tournament in Oakland, CA and the September 2007 AAU Chinese Martial Arts National Championships in Austin, TX. David competed and won at both tournaments in the Men's Senior/Executive Divisions (over age 45) for Traditional Northern Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu. He began his Kung Fu training with Sifu James Man Chin at the Buddha Gate Monastery in 2005. David's martial art forte is traditional Northern Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu and self-defense. Professionally, David Yee is a corporate Attorney and a licensed CPA.

Assistant Coach Mintai Henry Tang

Assistant Coach Mintai Henry Tang Mintai Tang began his Swai Jiao KF training during his freshman year of high school under the guidance Sifu Chin. Since then, he has competed in and won several tournaments in both Califronia and Texas. In 2009, he wrote "From Shuai Jiao to Judo, China to Japan," an academic essay on the relationship and differences between Chinese Swai Jiao and Japanese Judo. He also completed two years of sports medicine internship and hopes to pursue the medical field as well as continue Swai Jiao.

Junior Coaches: Michael Chin and Jason Yee

Junior Coach Jason YeeJunior Coach Michael Chin Michael and Jason are the CMAA co-lead instructors for the youths Kung Fu classes at the Contra Costa Chinese School -- Diablo Valley College in Concord, California. They are the only two of several hundred students taught by Shifu Chin at the Contra Costa Chinese School since the new millennium to have been selected for this responsibility. They both earned their appointments in 2007 as 11 year olds. Michael has been training with Sifu Chin since childhood, and his forte is empty hand forms. Jason was accepted by Shifu Chin as Shifu's first Northern California disciple in 2004, and his expertise includes short and long weapons. Michael and Jason have consistently won youth and junior division medals in every tournament in which they have participated.
